Scotland 2015

As the wife decided to go on holiday at the end of May with our daughter and grandson, I booked a few days at Alan McFadyens hides in Dumfries & Galloway to shoot Kingfishers and Cuckoos.

I had a great time in the hides and will definately be returning to see the Sparrowhawk and other small birds. I also went to the Galloway Red Kite feeding station which although not as busy as Gigrin farm, does give a really good viewpoint.

Another spot is the RSPB reserve at Ken Dee marshes on the shores of Loch Ken where I found Treecreepers, Great Spotted Woodpecker and even a short tailed field vole.
